Heat shrink wrap
Shrink Hoop is a heat-shrinkable ring gasket with an exceptionally high heat-shrink ratio and excellent strain relief that can be slipped onto the cable harness after the connector crimping operation is complete. This extremely high heat shrink material conveniently fills the gap between the connector clip and the cable.
Once snapped into place, Shrink Hoop grommets provide more efficient and easier strain relief than traditional seals (such as tape, grommets, or a combination of both) while fitting into a wide range of cable harness shapes, from single conductor to high-density multi-conductor harnesses.
Repairs and sealing are made easier with Shrink Hoop gaskets, which are heated until soft and a non-metallic probe is passed through the center of the bundle (expanding the inside diameter of the gasket). As the gasket cools, it remains expanded, allowing wires to be added, removed, or reconfigured. The system can then be inspected, reheated (re-shrink), installed and snapped into place.
